That's the editorial "we," of course. Douglas R. Pratt has had so many careers in his 62 years that he has trouble filling in the "occupation" blank on his tax forms. From setting type by hand to designing a student launch system currently in use by NASA, it's been a long strange trip. The high points are covered below, and if any of this is relevant to the work you have to do, feel free to inquire.

These days Doug divides his time between his home in Herndon, Virginia and his ancestral homestead in the Niagara region of New York, where he is developing the arboretum his grandfather planted into an educational nature preserve (Visitors are welcome at Robin Hill Nature Preserve!). He operates Pratt Hobbies, Inc., a company that manufactures model rocket kits and accessories for educators and hobbyists. He and his son Brian teach NRA Pistol Safety classes. He works with the Speech and Debate team his daughter Valerie captained at Randolph-Macon Academy, and provides voiceover work for their radio ads as well as hosting a biweekly talk show on WFTR-AM in Front Royal. His audiobook narrations are available on Amazon, Audible.com and iTunes.
